English Ale that bows to traditional
IPAs that were shipped from British Isles to India as early as in the late 18th
century. Boats sailed as long as 4-5 months, so there had to be enough alcohol
and hops to preserve the beer. This beer is a bit lower alcohol to adjust to
modern requirements, but maybe it isn’t, because for example bitter is often
under 4% ABV. This has 4,6% and includes those hops, all right. Still this is
very English, it has that buttery and nutty English Ale vibe but the hops make
it a bit better than just basic Ale. Hops included are Fuggles, Goldings, Magnum, Bramling Cross and
Styrian.
Traditional
IPA that is not like those modern American Style IPAs. Still, quite interesting
in a way, though a bit light bodied and with slightly disturbing diasetyl taste
that drops this in a category of only drinkable.
**+
Drinkable, with a potential to be something more
