Founders Centennial IPA

Double IPA with 7,2% ABV, 65 IBU. Noticeably hoppy aroma. Pinewood. Lacks citruslike freshness, just some bitter grapefruit. Bitterness rules the taste, but there are also sweetness here, nuttiness, even toffeelike British IPA feel. I’m not a big fan of overdoing IPA-characteristics and this does include them all in one beer, I guess. Overtuned with dryhopping and doubling the shit.

Alcohol comes through, very sharp, not at all enjoyable feel in my mouth.

I prefer fresh APAs over any IPA and this is particularly no-good for me. Maybe this isn’t fresh anymore and gone bad…For me this is just drinkable, definitely a big disappointment as I like Founders All Day IPA very much.

** Drinkable (maybe it wasn’t fresh enough…)
