Mikkeller Black Hole

Long time no taste – Mikkeller that is! And what a nice reunion it was. A nice winter warmer with Mikkeller-styled special ingredients. This time they are vanilla, honey and coffee. But let’s not forget dark cassonade sugar. First feel from the scent is roasted malts and that dark sugar – its like someone melted and roasted some sugar. Taste is eccentric. It feels sweet, roasted, coffeelike, freshening (like hoppy grassy style) and hoppy bitter at the same time. Very odd at first, but after a while you just wish this beer would never end. Of course it is very strong, 13.1 % ABV, but you can’t notice the alcohol at all in the taste – of course not, it’s so full bodied and rich with flavors. One ingredient more: Oat flakes. Maybe they bring this nice soft feel. Overall taste-adjective would be "sweet liquorice". This is so perfect as a nightly, winter warmer. I love it. ****+ Perfect winter warmer / Spiced up Imperial Stout
