Legendary Chimay's "White" version
(yellow label, referred to as ”Blanche” = ”White”
Chimay), which I got as a birthday gift from my dear friend. Very
nice yeasty and fruity scent. Huge head, which keeps its form and
aromas within it. Beer looks misty, unfiltered, and light brown.
Taste is very yeasty and Belgique – like trademark within these
trappists. There is some bitterness as well and beyond that some
fruits, but with a bitter end. I like this one, not bad at all. I
thought this would be more wheat beer -like, but this is very good
mixture of barley and wheat. Not a mindblowing experience, but very
good beer.
