Nice burned
malts and a hint of citrusy hops in scent (includes Nugget, Cascade and
Centennial hops). Taste has strong coffee/espresso like feel, very nice! Very
nicely drinkable. Some dark chocolate too. Dry finish.
A bit like some of those
dry espresso like Imperial Stouts like Nogne O´s stuff, but this is way less
“imperial”, maybe even a bit light bodied beer for a 6,0% abv. But, actually I
prefer this over some of those heavily burned and dry imp stouts (Nogne O has
made many better beers than their Imperial Stout – there are however huge
Imperial Stout’s out there that are the best beers in the world), but still
this isn’t even the best of porters (like Sinebrychoff´s Koff Porter or
Two-Tree Porter), maybe too one-dimensional (mainly dry burned espresso –feel )
for my taste buds, but still near greatness.
