Peak Organic Hop Blanc

Wow, what a beautiful scent: citrus, pine, coriander - fresh woods :) Taste is nice too, very hoppy bitter and fresh at the same time, very dry finish, but fresh at all times and not too dry or musty mouthfeel. It really is a refreshing drink, still not a watered down easy-drinkable, though it is that too (easy drinkable, not watered).  For me this is a very, very nice wit-like beer infused with hops, and I like especially the organic coriander used and the all-around fresh feel.  A great White IPA, just perfect for my taste buds. **** Great

Fuller's Vintage Ale 2014

Fuller's have made it again. Year after year you just have to taste it. Some year its great, some year just ok, some year even a bit disappointing. But always quality from London, England. This year they made it with tradition and two American hops, Liberty and Cascade, and imo nailed it. Very nice hoppy bitter finish after usual complex and nutty British Ale sensations. Fruity, malty, nutty, toffeelike, a bit strong and a lot warming. Very nice, Great brewing and a beautiful testament to 2014. **** Great

Beer Hunter’s Mufloni Talviporter

Nice burned malts and a hint of citrusy hops in scent (includes Nugget, Cascade and Centennial hops). Taste has strong coffee/espresso like feel, very nice! Very nicely drinkable. Some dark chocolate too. Dry finish.  A bit like some of those dry espresso like Imperial Stouts like Nogne O´s stuff, but this is way less “imperial”, maybe even a bit light bodied beer for a 6,0% abv. But, actually I prefer this over some of those heavily burned and dry imp stouts (Nogne O has made many better beers than their Imperial Stout – there are however huge Imperial Stout’s out there that are the best beers in the world), but still this isn’t even the best of porters (like Sinebrychoff´s Koff Porter or Two-Tree Porter), maybe too one-dimensional (mainly dry burned espresso –feel ) for my taste buds, but still near greatness. *** OK+

Chimay Première

Dubbel Chimay, also known as Chimay Red (though I thought this is like a "brown ale"). Well, the 75cl bottle is very nice and its always nice to pop open the cork with a sound :)   There is pressure in the bottle like in sparkling wines, but gladly the stuff within doesn’t pop out the bottle too. Brown/coppery outlook and obviously a lot of head. Scent is not very colourful – just like sweet plum or apricot or something like that. Taste is kinda easy and nice, not over the top sweet as I feared it would be. Of course there is that malty sweet fruitiness that follows the scent but also a dry finish of hops, nice. Some Belgian yeasty vibe too, but very mildly. Alcohol warms, but doesn’t bother at all.  This sure feels like a beer from old world (and actually this is the oldest of Chimay beers). No odd experiments, but quality dubbel with old recipe. Nice in its own way, though not my favorite in any way - I'm more of a modern world man in beer drinking too, thi...

Saimaan Brewer’s Special India Pale Ale

Wow, what a nice light IPA this is! There are Pale Ale, Wheat and Cara Pale malts and five different hops - Cascade, Chinook, First Gold, Columbus and Admiral. Even the yeast is Belgian, so this really is very international beer :) Very nice fruity and citrusy scent and very nicely balanced IPA. Not a hop bomb, but more of a all-around IPA with good drinkability and still enough complex to rise from the ordinary. I like this a lot, have had a lot worse beers that claim to be "India Pale Ale" and at the same time are such a light bodied as there are only 4,7% alcohol. A great small beer in a can, enjoyed a lot! **** Great for a light IPA

Titanic Stout

Basic stout, which actually is quite good and drinkable. I'm not a big fan of these light stouts, I'm an Imperial man :D But yeah, very much OK, but nothing spectacular here, roasted malts and such, still in its own genre this goes down without complaints. *** OK

Shepherd Neame Late Red Ale

Triple-hopped English Red Ale, splendid. Cascade and East Kent Goldings rule. Taste has plum, raisins and a hint of toffee. Nice one for such a light beer, very nicely drinkable. I like Red Ales in general, don't remember having a bad one yet. *** OK
