Who would have thought couple of
years ago that one of the best Finnish session-APA’s is made in one of
Finland’s macro breweries, Olvi, that is formerly known as a brewery that sells
basically same bulk lager under different brands of “Finnish” lager, like
Tuntematon Sotilas (Unknown Soldier), Pirkka (a discount beer sold in K-chain
shops) and such.
However, this is highly-sessionable,
fresh, refreshing and nicely hopped American Pale Ale. It is infused with
Citra, Chinook and Equinox hops. It has a nice overall citrusy character, with
grape fruit bitterness, and some other fruits too. Fresh and tasty, hoppy
bitter and pleasant easy-drinkable.
