Chimay Blanche / Triple (2nd review)

Spicy, peppery, nicely Belgian yeasty vibed beer with a nice bitter aftertaste.

This Triple Ale is brewed at Scourment Abbey, Belgium. Legendary trappist brewery is mostly known of Chimay Blue/Bleue - one of the classics of mine, too – and Chimay Red/Rouge, but also this Tripel aka Blanche is one their main products.

Very nice blonde Belgian, with huge head, as expected. Very nice spiciness rules the taste palette. It has that Belgian yeasty vibe, but aftertaste is peppery bitter. This has barley and wheat malts, very smooth.

Although it is spicy (not hot spicy), it is at the same time very refreshing and for its ABV of 8% it is almost deceivingly easy-drinkable, but still tasty and versatile.

**** Great

PS. Review is part of my GYERP 2016
