Pistonhead

Swedish basic lager. Or is this? It comes in can, which looks like it should be a beer that SOA-guys drink, when they drive the motorcycles. I love SOA. And this was from my neighborhood grocery, so it is fine for a nice monday night drink with my gay salad. This has also some hoppiness, which makes it better choise than more ordinary industrial lagers. For a lager this was actually fine, but maybe not for any other use than getting drunk :P ** Drinkable *** OK for a bulk lager

Samuel Adams Boston Lager

This traditional lager from America is good as hell. It serves its purpose of being a lager without being industrial lame ass shit. Props for that. And for good taste. Sorry for the brief ”review” as I'm drunk. But this was good drinking beer alongside more hoppy Brewdog's that were actually maybe too hoppy for me tonite...so, this was, is, a great beer. No doubt about that. Great for a lager :) *** OK

St Peter's Cream Stout

This lovely looking bottle was the first thing I noticed about this beer. Pours black, nice, creamy head. Scent is stoutlike, I don't get any special shit. Taste is really sharp and edgy, then comes very burned feeling and burning in throat. This really is no ”easy-drinking Guinness”, or shit like that. This is hardcore stout for the Guinness people. But this is still very gentle and gentlemanny beer with great taste. Nice after a long day of work, enjoyed in peace. I might say this is even great, but not just now, need to get to know this shit better :) *** OK

Norrebro Bryghus Pacific Summer Ale

Very noticeable scent, fruits and stuff. Flowery. Head looks nice and the colour is amber golden. I can smell yeast with fruit. Props for the appearance, but the taste is actually disappointing after that. Just some slight bitterness, but very lagerish otherwise. Maybe this is supposed to be easy drinking lagerish stuff, as it is summer ale. This ale has some great scent and appearance, so definitely ok. *** OK

Black Isle Organic Hibernator Oatmeal Stout

Scottish Brewerys' 7% vol. organic stout. Slightly burned coffee with some nice sweet side-taste, that I can't explain, as I'm not a reviewer, I'm a beer lover. Warming stuff that goes down easily. Only lacking some great aftertaste, which would have raised this in a different category. *** OK

St. Loius Kriek Lambic

Really strong scent and taste. Cherries. What can I say? I don't like cherries. Weird shit. Not for me. This is as far as I go in my experiments of berrybeers. (Or maybe it isn't berry after all: http://www.gardeningchannel.com/cherry-berry-or-fruit/ ) ** Drinkable, hardly

Fuller's 1845

I love Fuller's Beers. This is no exception. Bottle conditioned ale matured for 100 days. 6,3% vol. Amberishly dark brown ale has a nice scent. Reminds me of, hmm, good ales :) Taste is quite bitter at first bite. Soon the different aromas start to come up. Bitterness is the word to describe this ale, but not in a disturbing, but very nice way. Splendid beer. **** Great

La Trappe – Witte Trappist

This is odd, trappist with a twist. Smells like it, tastes like it. I like the ”Duvel”-touch in this. Very fruity, yeasty shit. Good. But hell yeah, maybe even great. **** Great

Black Isle Organic Goldeneye Pale Ale

Scottish pale ale. I just have to say one thing: This is fucking great beer. And I could drink this all night long. This could become one of my five star -lovers, but let's keep it reasonable for now :) **** Great

Weihenstephaner Vitus

7,7% vol weizenbock, wheat beer from Germany. Yeasty golden stuff. Nice yeasty scenting head. I'm not a big wheat beer fan, not before or after this one. At least my appetite got better. I guess this is as good wheat as they can be according to my bad taste. Let's give this props for not being lame ass shit. *** OK for a wheat

Goliath

Actually I drank my one bottle of Goliath bitter earlier without making any notes. Well, I'm a lousy reviewer after all, so fuck it. This was a gift from my dear friend and that is a first plus. Second is, that this was really good, basic but tasteful bitter. I liked this a lot! **** Great

New York Lager

This ”okologisk” beer från Norrebro Bryghus, Denmark, is one of those modern beers that are not bulk. This is a nod to American pilsners, that's where the name comes. Very thick and long lasting head, which is at first odd, but really a good thing about this lager. It is golden and quite easy on taste, but still it it way better than its bulk cousins. But, if I'm honest, and I have to be, this is not very good beer, if you want to have some rich, aromatic, hoppy and tasteful beer. This is just ok, and barely even that, but in its own genre, I guess this is ok. *** OK

Ginger Pale Ale

Nice, odd shit. Fair Trade! Very gingery stuff. For moments of spicy beer and world saving -phase of the evening. *** OK

Brooklyn American Ale

review made in start of June 2012 I have been a very lazy reviewer lately, so I actually don't remember, if I have reviewed this fine ale, but maybe not. Still, I have drank this lately, many times. Last weekend I actually found this in a local bar, which I thought did not have any good beers on their list. I was so glad to find this and drank it the whole evening. And what a nice evening it was :) The only poor thing about the evening was, that I was a shy boy and did not speak to one lovely woman...or actually I did spoke, but you know, not spoke spoke :P This brown liquid gold has a very, very lovely scent and I think this reminds me of my favorite ale of them all, an American ale that too, and I'm talking about Anchor's Liberty Ale. What fine ales those Americans do! So, scent is very citruslike, but also the taste. Maybe some beer lovers say that this is kinda cheap ale reminding even of those "partybeers" like Sol, but fuck them, this beer has quali

Zywiec

A review from the start of the summer... It's soon time for Euro 2012 and Jimbo is ready for some serious football action. As always, I'm supporting my beloved England, but not those ugly bastards, who ruin the game by bullying and being stupid hooleys. There are enough stupid hooligans (and neonazi-hooligans, which are the most stupid thing there is) in Poland too, but as they are hosts, and I believe that Polish people are generous dudes and dudettes in general, I thought I taste one premium lager of theirs and maybe even support Polish national team in summer champs, as Finland is not there, as usual. Zywiec is supposed to be Poland's number one beer like Karhu in Finland, so I look for some comparisons: Very light golden lager, almost non-existing scent and poor head. Taste has maybe some hoppy flavour and is kinda nice for a basic lager, which this is. Not bad, still and this is ok with food and for thirsty mouth, but obviously not at all any extra point

Fuller's India Pale Ale

Another old review from the archives... Distinctively a Fuller's beer – slightly bitter, good head, nice looks - but this one lacks real aroma. So this is too Pale for me and I prefer many other Fuller's beers better, like magnificent London Porter or E.S.B., or even the more easier Chiswick and Discovery. So, I have to respect my taste and say, that this is not the best of Fuller's beers, I've had, so really not anything else than drinkable stuff. ** Drinkable

Tsingtao

This is an old review, I hope this is not here somewhere already (should do that index, shiaaat). Tastes of shitty wok (that is chinese restaurant in South Park :D). Everytime I visit chinese restaurant, I drink this with their great food, which I like very much. Tsingtao actually goes well with that oily chili spice stuff, which I pour on my veggie food there. Very light lager with a hoppy smell. Tastes not so good without the chinese food in hand. ** Drinkable **** Great with Chinese Cuisine :)
