Well, I’m
not a fan of wheat beers in general, nor smoked beers. Only exceptions of
excellence have been Finnish Indie products of VASP, which brewed also this beer.
Prykmestar WehnäBock is a splendid wheat beer and Prykmestar SavuKataja an
excellent strong smoked beer. I also enjoyed their Prykmestar Savu with food in
particular. What about this combination of my not-favorite styles? Well, not my
favorite I’m afraid. Not too smoky, not too wheaty, but still a bit unpleasant
even, malty sweetness and smoky aroma, but almost a bit watered down feel, not
very enjoyable drink without food. Maybe with some food this would work well.
Now this is a bit average or even poor for my taste buds.
