Gotlands Bryggeri Best Bitter

Best? Well, quite fucking ordinary. Easy drinkable, sure. 3,5% ABV. I can’t figure out, who would want to drink this beer, as there are million better beers. So don’t buy “Best”, buy quality. ** Drinkable

Bryggeri Weizen

I am not a big fan of weizens. This reminded me why –at first. Feels sharp and metallic, but after a while turns out to be softer, smoother and even a bit wonderful. Metamorphosis in a bottle. Beautiful misty beer with hints of those lovely Belgian yeasts and flowery spices. Rises to the occasion! *** OK

Laitilan Kievari Tuomas 2014

Mmm, interesting. Maybe Beer Hunter’s’ Mufloni Saison opened the floodgates of Finnish saisons, but still it amazes me, when this kind of macro/microbreweyhybrid makes a saison and all I think is wild bretta. Mmm. This is good. Even splendid in its own way. *** OK

Harviestoun Old Engine Oil Porter

Nice, smooth, a bit sweet porter. Hints of liquorice and coffee. Not overburned, more sweet and malty. Quite good porter, can’t complain. Not spectacular, but nice. *** OK

Saimaan Django & Steven Pale Ale

Perfect Pale Ale!  Very fresh, very fruity, very nicely hoppy APA-styled beer. Drinkability SUBERB. Drink it while it's still fresh. **** Great

Rakkautta&Anarkiaa IPA

I was unlucky not to have any tickets to actual R&A (27th Helsinki International Film Festival), or at least the movies I wanted to see. So I had their “official” beer instead. Place: Bruuveri, Helsinki. Before this I had a wonderful Plevna Siperia Imperial Stout, so after that treat this IPA wasn’t that spectacular. Still, OK IPA.  Mainly Grapefruit, bitterness, some berries. Quite harsh and dry aftertaste, which doesn't please me very much, but I'm still comparing this to earlier Siperia that had everything... This has only edge – other members of the band are missing :) **+ Drinkable edgy IPA
